“ My friends and I hit up this truck as stop number 4 on our 10 Tacos in 10 Hours tour of the city and although it's been a while since the last time I've been to El Taconazo, it still holds up as some of the best trompo in town. The trompo comes steaming hot, a dark and bright red like char siu or tandoori. I swear even my mom, who mostly eats only Asian food, loves this taco too and I think a large part of it is psychological because it looks familiar to her. Maybe that's partly why it's so good - it's easily approachable to people from other cultures. There are little fatty bites every once in a while that lend a richness without being overly greasy. We didn't get any toppings (no onions or cilantro), just meat, but that may've just been a fluke this time around. There's a light green sauce that's almost creamy, not sour. I usually love to get the trompo in a quesadilla, but it was not meant to be this time since the taco tour demands stamina. Next time though, I'll definitely get the trompo with some cheese. ”
“ Little taco trailer off Fulton street. There is always a line for these tacos. Parking is an ass. Cash only and the menu is as is. Service was fast so line moves pretty quickly. Anyway I got some fajita tacos which come just meat and tortilla that's it. Everything is separate in the bag and I got a quesodilla which was rolled up. Strange I know. I really don't know what all the hype is about with this place. Taste like any other taco truck but that's my opinion. Anyway till we eat again ”
“ I've been coming here since I was a child, this place has not failed me yet. It's always quick despite the long lines you may or may not see. Need food for Lunch? Quick bite after buying groceries? Need something to hit the spot after the bar/club scene? This mini food chain is the place to go. These Mexicans know how to take care of your hunger needs any time, any day of the week. ”
“ CASH ONLY and no sitting area. Park your car and eat in your car. Make sure you grab a lot of napkins bc it can get messy. You know it's good if the place only accepts cash. Tacos were fresh and yummy. I got the barbacoa and trumpo meat with cheese. They give you toppings and sauce in small containers. Don't forget to add them to your tacos! ”
“ Best tacos de lengua in town! I used to go for their fajita and trompo (which is still pretty good) but having recently tried the lengua.. it's in a different stratosphere. Tender, juicy and you have to get it as a quesadilla with their melty cheese. 10/10, their green salsa is great too! ”
